Who Can Sell on Our Marketplace?
To sell with us, you must be a self-employed individual or an independent business that meets the following criteria:
1. You Own and Run Your Business
- Your business must be privately owned and operated by you (or a small team).
- You (or the owners) must be directly involved in the day-to-day running of the business and make the key decisions.
2. Your Business Structure
- You cannot be part of a chain, franchise, or multiple locations in the UK, under the same brand name.
- You cannot be a subsidiary or owned by a larger corporation.
- You must operate as a single, independent business.
3. Where Your Products Come From
- Your products must be primarily sourced, produced, or crafted in the UK.
- Speciality products from outside the UK are allowed if:
- They are unique, high-quality, and not commonly available in the UK.
- You can provide documentation (e.g., certificates, invoices) to prove their speciality nature and origin.
- They comply with all UK laws (e.g., safety, labelling, and import regulations).
- You are transparent about where and how you source or produce your products.
4. Your Business Size
- We welcome small businesses, including:
- Self-employed individuals.
- Micro-businesses or part-time sellers (e.g., "side hustles").
- Businesses with minimal or no employees.
- You don’t need a formal business setup, but you must independently produce or source unique products.
5. Your Products
- Your products must be unique, high-quality, and authentic.
- They should reflect your creativity, craftsmanship, or expertise (e.g., handmade, homegrown, or locally produced).
How to Apply
1. Apply to Sell
- Fill out our application form, telling us about:
- Your business structure and ownership.
- What you sell and how you source or produce it.
- Be ready to provide supporting documents, such as:
- Proof of ownership (e.g., business registration).
- Any relevant licences or certifications (e.g., food hygiene, organic).
2. We’ll Check Your Application
- We’ll review your application to make sure it meets our criteria.
- We may ask for more information or arrange a quick chat to verify your details.
- If approved, we’ll let you know in writing and give you access to list your products.
3. Staying Compliant
- You must continue to meet these criteria while selling with us.
- We may periodically review your business to ensure you still qualify.
- If you no longer meet the criteria, you must notify us immediately.
- If you break these rules, we may suspend or remove your listings.
Who Cannot Sell on Our Marketplace?
The following cannot list products with us:
- Chain stores or businesses with multiple locations under the same brand name.
- Franchises or businesses operating under a franchise model.
- Subsidiaries or businesses owned by larger corporations.
- Any business that does not meet the criteria in this policy.
Changes to This Policy
- We may update this policy from time to time.
- We’ll notify you of any changes, and you must follow the updated rules to keep selling with us.
